It is with a sad heart that I tell you that our B&B Sister Darline Hartless has gone home to live with our Lord.
Darline passed away on Saturday afternoon (3/28/09) at 6:30pm after battling cancer and kidney failure. She was diagnosed with cancer about 3 years ago and eventually had her kidney removed and was put on dialysis (she had her other kidney removed as a young adult). With prayers, Darline was doing very well for the past 18 months or so and she and I were just speaking about how she had been cancer free for over a year and was able to be put on the donor list for a kidney. About 3 weeks ago she went in for a routine check up and found out she had a tumor on her spine and her hip. She was in the hospital for the past 2 weeks and the doctors were very optimistic as the tumors were very small. They sent her home on Friday (3/27) after having a procedure done to strengthen her spine and she was going to go back in a week to start the radiation therapy. Unfortunately, Darline was in a lot of pain when she went home and it was God's will to relieve her pain and bring her home with Him.
Darline worked at Boole & Babbage / BMC (San Jose office) in our shipping/receiving department as well as in the print shop from 1992 to approx 2002.
Darline's family has decided to have her cremated and they will have a small service for family at their home in about 10 days.
God Bless You All,
